The studio gained prominence with the launch of iconic series such as Europa Universalis, Hearts of Iron, Crusader Kings, and Victoria. A significant milestone occurred in 1999 when the company split into Paradox Interactive, focusing on publishing, and Paradox Development Studio, dedicated to game development. In 2012, the studio further refined its focus, solidifying its reputation as a leader in grand strategy games.
