MicroProse, founded in 1982 by Bill Stealey and Sid Meier, is a pioneering video game developer known for its strategic and simulation games. The studio gained prominence with the launch of "X-COM: UFO Defense" in 1994, which set a new standard for tactical gameplay and resource management. Over the years, MicroProse has seen various milestones, including the acquisition by Hasbro Interactive in the late 1990s and its eventual revival in the 2010s.
